Milli Segal.

My Agency

As an expert for event organisation and PR consulting I have been self-employed since 1992. Ever since 2005, I am also engaging in the curation of exhibitions and films on the Holocaust and Shoah, especially focusing on mediation work at schools.

In regards to press and public relations, I specialize primarily in the fields of culture and politics and would like to refer in particular to my international press contacts, which I was able to demonstrate and make use of in the context of press work, especially in regards to the two memorial concerts at the Mauthausen concentration camp memorial site. As an expert in organizing events and projects on a large scale, I was able to make a name for myself through following events, among many others: Funeral of the Spiegelgrund Opfer, Lichtermeer and Konzert für Österreich.

Concerning the art fields of exhibition and film, I would like to draw your attention to my expertise on the Holocaust and Shoah. Since 2005 I was involved in bringing exhibitions of Yad Vashem, Lohamei Hagetaot and the peace institution Givat Haviva as well as films on these topics to Austria. It is during this time that I also started to work as a curator. In doing so, I extended every exhibition to also include an Austrian focus. The close cooperation with teachers and schools from all over Austria also stems from this time. Today, I am happy to have a very comprehensive network consisting of connections to many different schools as well as close relationships to teachers.

A few examples of such exhibitions include: “Für das Kind”, “Die Kinder von Maison d’Izieu”, “Janusz Korczak”, “Lichtflecke – Frau sein im Holocaust”, “Auf den Spuren eines Fotos”.

The constructions of the sculpture “Für das Kind” at Vienna’s Westbahnhof as well as the memorial stone for the children of d’Izieu located at Schwedenplatz in Vienna’s 1st district are related to these exhibitions and based on my initiative.

I was also able to permanently establish the exhibition “Für das Kind” as a museum on the memory of rescueing Jewish children to Great Britain between 1938-1939. I have been in charge of the museum since 2014.

On behalf of ÖBB (Austrian Federal Railway) I curated the exhibition “Verdrängte Jahre – Bahn und Nationalsozialismus in Österreich 1938-1945”, which was displayed from 2012 to 2018 in Vienna, Linz, Salzburg, Graz, Klagenfurt, Wiener Neustadt, St. Pölten, Mauthausen Memorial, Brussels and Tel Aviv. Since 2012 I have been working as a PR consultant for the Jewish Welcome Service Vienna.
